The division is comprised of four units: Criminal Investigations, Drug Enforcement, Crime Scene, and Career Criminal. Each unitÕs primary responsibility is centered around the follow-up investigation of criminal offenses.The Division is also actively involved with the Child Protection Center, the Jackson County Drug Task Force, Regional Cybercrimes Forensic Lab, the Metro Squad, FBI Cybercrimes Task Force, and the ATF Task Force.

Austin PD – Financial Crimes Unit
The Financial Crimes Unit is responsible for investigating crimes in which a financial instrument is used by the criminal element. The Financial Crimes Unit works offenses of credit card abuse, identity theft, counterfeit or forged checks, false statement to obtain credit and counterfeit U.S. Currency cases (in conjunction with the U.S. Secret Service).
Winchester PD – Computer Crime Unit
The Computer Crime Unit (CCU) provides forensic and investigative services to NEMLEC agencies and other law enforcement agencies if/as designated by the Executive Board. The unit is also responsible for training police in computer crime investigations, providing community-based Internet Safety Training and investigating all forms of crimes facilitated by the use of high technology (computers) within our jurisdictions. The unit in Medford serves Middlesex County, and Peabody serves Essex County.
DeKalb PD – Criminal Investigations Division/ICAC
The ICAC unit is responsible for the investigations of sexual crimes against children that has an internet nexus. The unit is further tasked with investigating the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). The ICAC unit also provides computer and cellular phone forensics for the entire Criminal Investigation Division.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office – Financial Crimes Unit
The Financial Crimes Unit partners with the Reno and Sparks Police department as well as the US Secret Service and the United States Postal Inspectors Service and Investigators from the State of Nevada in enforcement with the Northern Nevada Fraud and Identity Theft Task Force. The Financial Crimes Unit is part of the Washoe County SheriffÕs Special Operations/ Investigations Cyber Crimes section.
Norfolk PD – Computer Forensic Unit
The Computer Forensic Unit at Norfolk PD is responsible for investigating computer-related crimes ranging from fraud to child pornography.
Winthrop Harbor PD – Cyber Crime Unit
The Cyber Crimes Unit (CCU) focuses on a wide array of criminal activity, including Internet and computer fraud, predators who are trying to harm Winthrop HarborÕs children, cyber bullying, cyber stalking and other forms of computer, Internet, and electronic crimes. The unit also works closely with federal, state and other local law enforcement, and industry members including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the National White Collar Crime Consortium (NW3C) to develop,
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office – Data Recovery Unit
The Data Recovery Unit investigates computer crimes and internet predator cases within Greenville County. They also have the ability to retrieve evidentiary data from computers and phones which is crucial in the successful prosecution of criminal cases. The Data Recovery investigators also conduct monthly internet safety classes upon request.
Georgetown PD – Financial Crimes
The Financial Crimes Unit is responsible for investigating cases related to embezzlement, forgery, fraud, identity theft, credit card abuse, computer crimes and scams.
Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office – High Tech Crimes Unit
The Pueblo County Sheriff’s High-Tech Crimes Unit responds to computer crime complaints for victims who live in the county (not the city).
