Many believe the entire “dark web” exists solely on The Onion Router (Tor) network. However, numerous alternative darknets are already in use by illicit actors. If you’ve never heard of I2P, IPFS, Yggdrasil, or the “smolweb,” then this webinar is for you. We will explore the differences in how these darknets function, along with the common features they share. The webinar will also examine how contraband—including CSAM and narcotics—is being distributed across these networks. The darknets covered in this webinar include the Invisible Internet Project (I2P), Yggdrasil, InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), LokiNet, ZeroNet, The Open Network (TON), Tribler, Urbit, and the “smolweb.”
