There are two readily available resources for police executives to receive training in cyber crime.
First, the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) provides a nationwide support system for law enforcement and regulatory agencies involved in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of economic and high-tech crime. Training options include instruction in all areas of economic and cyber crime investigation and prosecution. Classes are available online and are also taught at regional training facilities.
In addition, the FBI has developed an extensive curriculum of free training related to cyber crime. For more information, please see the FBI’s Cyber Shield Alliance.
